Welcome to Barton 1792 Distillery, Barton Brands of Kentucky. Our proud heritage dates back to 1879 with the founding of the Tom Moore Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. Job Description/Responsibilities

Utility employees must be able to perform the following three fuctions:

1. Forklift Operator - Receive and put away all production in exact locations.

Stage and ship case goods per daily schedule.

Operate safely at all times.

Maintain routine maintenance on fork lifts.

2. Palletizer Operator - Operate a forklift

Operate on-off switches, stop belt, hoist and pusher bar controls and emergency stop buttons.

Be able to properly adjust stop gates and dam settings.

Adjust pallet infeed and pallet stops for proper positioning of cases on pallet.

How to replace roll of film on wrapper.

Complete palletizer changeover including setting of computer.

Change over of conveyor line including knowledge of electric eye controls, conveyor lane switches, on and off

controls for conveyor motors.

Marking tags and string tying on finished products.

Grade used pallets for acceptable re-use or sale.

How to un-hang a pallet in the pallet dispenser.

3. CDL Driver - Movement of loaded and empty trailers between WLD and Distribution Center; spot empty trailer for loading in shipping; weigh loaded Barton trailer to insure they are road legal; spot loaded trailer for glass storage; weigh and spot tankers for bulk storage. These duties involve out of plant driving for short periods of time.

Qualifications/Requirements

Must have current CDL License

Utility Operators may be required to work weekends.

Utility Operators may be required to work different shifts during the normal work week depending on need.
