What you will do

The Operations & Maintenance Technician is part of BOSK’s newly constructed electric vehicle battery manufacturing plant. This is a performance based, 12-year, O&M contract providing hard services of MEP equipment within the facility, excluding the manufacturing and production equipment. The objective is to maintain a seamless environment by assuring that equipment is performing to specifications to facilitate uninterrupted manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong maintenance/hands on technical experience and leadership background. Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning and general servicing of HVAC systems (including detailed troubleshooting of systems). The role will perform a variety of repairs and services in a specialized building system environment with a high emphasis on HVAC, Mechanical Systems, building maintenance. Working knowledge of Electrical / Electronic BAS, and other similar types of related equipment and low voltage systems is a PLUS. 

How you will do it:

  • Service, Repair, Maintain, Monitor and Adjust HVAC systems to keep within allowable parameters.

  • Accomplishing preventive maintenance management and repairs for HVAC, Boilers, Chillers, Pumps, electrical systems, fire alarm systems, security systems, and building automation systems.

  • Provides direction and training to less experienced O&M Specialists.  

  • Plans, selects, and lays out required materials for service, repair, and preventive maintenance work.  

  • Works from drawings, schematics, blueprints, job layouts or verbal instructions and operates a variety of tools and machines incidental to operations.  

  • Requisitions new supplies and equipment.  

  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.  

  • Is required to participate in an on-call rotation schedule to attend to emergency situations at the facility. 

  • Complies with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards.  

  • Perform other duties as required. 

What we look for:
Preferred Requirements:

  • Requires two-year technical degree or two years of relevant, or completion of an apprenticeship program.  

  • Requires in-depth knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient to deal with service and repairs.

  • Knowledge of the following trades/skills: electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance

  • Working on mission critical projects

  • Knowledge of OSHA codes and regulations

  • Working knowledge of Metasys (BMS) and low voltage control systems.  

  • Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc.  

  • Must be able to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and special maintenance events as needed.  

  • Required to use a variety of hand and power tools or man lift. 

  • Requires Universal EPA Refrigeration Certification. 

  • May be required to possess a valid driver’s license.  

  • Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.  

  • Must be able to pass a thorough background check and subject interview.
