Job Description:
** $2,000 SIGN-ON BONUS **
The Medical Assistant Float assists in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the physician. The Medical Assistant Float, though based with a "home" department, can be called at any time to travel to another practice location to provide coverage which covers Lexington as well as cities surrounding. Areas of clinical practice include patients of all ages in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Neurology and Specialties such as Cardiology/OB/GYN etc. Though most coverage will be needed for the clinical area, the Float may also cover Patient Access areas of the front office or perform other administrative duties if needed.
Applicant must have graduated from one or more of the following programs and have current certificate/registration or license in that area:
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program with current certification/registration from AAMA/AMT or NCCT.
Graduate of an approved practical nursing program with current Kentucky LPN Licensure.
Graduate of an accredited RN program with current Kentucky RN Licensure.
Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate. Computer skills preferred.
