Job Responsibilities: The physician is responsible for recording a detailed medical history of each patient in the electronic medical record, including, but not limited to, chief complaint, present condition, individual history, and family history. Performing appropriate physical examination of each patient. Analyzing reports and/or findings of tests and personal examinations in order to assess the medical condition of the patient, including diagnosing the patient's injury or illness and formulating a prognosis.
NORTON CHILDREN'S GASTROENTEROLOGY, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, and part of Norton Children's Medical Group, is seeking a leader to serve as division chief of pediatric gastroenterology for the University of Louisville School of Medicine, and section chief of pediatric gastroenterology for Norton Children's.
The candidate will lead a dynamic team dedicated to meeting the needs of children through clinical care and research. As an integrated entity since 2020, Norton Children's Medical Group, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, has recruited well over 100 providers; added four new accredited fellowships; increased outreach throughout Kentucky; and increased National Institutes of Health grants, industry-sponsored grants, and registry and trial drug network funding through Norton Children's Research Institute, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine.
