Pharmacy Tech III PRN

Baptist Health Oncology/Hematology Pharmacy

Job Summary:

Assists pharmacist in filling and preparation of medication orders. Performs hazardous and non-hazardous IV compounding with a high degree of accuracy. Functions as purchasing agent for medications and supplies. Responsible for acquisition, preparation, and disposal of high risk hazardous materials. Responsible for compliance with EPA regulations pertaining to handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

National Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board required.

Kentucky Board of Pharmacy registration certificate for Pharmacy Technician required.

Minimum of three years experience as Pharmacy Technician preferred.

Previous sterile compounding experience preferred.

Must be knowledgeable of medications (dosage forms, brand and generic names).
