Job Description

As the Marketing Director, Pediatric Oncology, you will be the total business owner responsible for building and monitoring the annual brand plan inclusive of overall objectives, strategies, tactics, and scorecards. Leading with an entrepreneurial mindset, you will be expected to be the chief advocate for communicating and promoting the product (brand) positioning along with its specific features and benefits. Additionally, you will be charged with crafting the strategy around the messaging and marketing tactics for a new product launch.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Product Management

  • Lead marketing research efforts with vendors to develop brand positioning and insights to support product launch. Build up deep knowledge of patients, caregivers, prescribers, and KOL's.
  • Help shape and communicate the brand vision and mission. Align the company around the brand's direction, choices and tactics.
  • Translate brand elements into launch plans, launch budgets and go-to-market strategies.
  • Support development of all launch selling collateral. Ensure alignment to brand vision/positioning.
  • Partner with sales to develop appropriate training for execution with prescribers.
  • Manage brand marketing budget. Maintain accurate and precise brand budget and spending.
  • Measure and report performance of product in the market. Assess ROI and KPIs.
  • Monitor market trends, research consumer markets and competitors' activities.
  • Develop and manage patient savings program(s). Partner with savings program vendor(s) to execute program(s), report activity, measure success.
  • Partner with agency team to build the product website and all digital assets. Also, lead and collaborate with our agency partners to build a digital marketing strategy and tactics. Produce valuable and engaging content for our website (related other digital channels) that attracts and converts our target groups.
  • Build strategic relationships and partner with advocacy groups, KOLs, key industry players, agencies and vendors.
  • Oversee and gain internal (medical, legal, regulatory) approval for all launch marketing material for HCP, Patient, Payer, and related target audiences across all marketing channels.
  • Develop medical/industry conference schedule and secure necessary support, sales coverage, promotion and related KPIs for attendance, booth traffic, and more.

Leadership

  • If applicable, lead or oversee direct reports and their execution of marketing projects.
  • Lead or oversee sales force deployment of marketing materials and programs.
  • Collaborate and coordinate efforts with medical affairs, sales, reimbursement, and joint venture partner companies on the development and execution of the brand plan.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: BS or higher (required), advanced degree (desired)
  • Experience: 6+ years of commercial pharmaceutical industry experience, 3+ years of specialty pharmaceuticals experience (required), product launch experience (required), people management (required), field sales (desired), project management (desired), pediatric oncology experience (desired)
