Our Louisville office is currently seeking an Engineering Technician with experience in the drafting of construction drawings of medium to large scale projects - senior living, education, healthcare, and government projects preferred. Associates degree in Engineering Technology, or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years' experience is required.
Responsibilities are inclusive of, but not limited to, the following:
  • Solid background and proficiency in current versions of AutoCAD and REVIT MEP.
  • Ability to produce design development and construction documents/projects consistent with instructions, guidelines, and Revit standards, including coordination with other disciplines - civil, structural and architectural design drawings.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems and an understanding of components that make up those systems. Ability to do preliminary load calculations, duct/diffuser coordination and duct sizing and layout would be a plus for this position.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing systems and an understanding of components that make up those systems.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems and an understanding of components that make up those systems.
  • Understanding of floor plans, sections, details, controls diagrams, panel schedules, riser diagrams, etc.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • BIM Training certification, a passion for BIM implementation on a project and team level, and openness to new approaches and processes in BIM is a plus.
