Job/Internship Description
Innovation is imagining what's NEXT when no one else can. Shaping your future starts here, as we believe our Gen>NEXT students are the future leaders of BMW. Our vision is to secure BMW Manufacturing's excellence by attracting the best of the best. We believe in creating a hands-on environment where you can directly impact the future of mobility. You will be guided and mentored throughout inspiring tasks and projects. As one of our Gen>NEXT students, you will be part of the team from day one and encouraged to add new ideas and value to the business.

This is a co-op position which requires three alternating rotations (e. g. 1st rotation: spring, 2nd rotation: fall, 3rd rotation: summer).

The student will be exposed to new product content, involved in projects, and engage in collaborative department work. Candidates will support the launch and change coordinators with activities to verify the bill of material and demand logic changes for vehicle production. We will develop the student to lead their own process improvement projects. Activities will focus on further development and optimizing of data analytical systems to improve processes and reporting and direct support of the team steering new integration levels into launch and series product.

The Intern should expect to support and improve the following:

- Contribute to Test Car BOM (Bill of Material) validation, where the new design changes are verified (i.e., the correct part is systematically steered to the correct vehicle)

- Support the coordination of Line Trials, where new parts are physically tested in the production environment

- Investigate design topics through data analysis

- Report generation and maintenance

- Major projects in this role focus on efficiency improvements and data accuracy, that could include:
