SUMMARY
This is an opportunity to join a growing, dynamic and responsible company that fosters the development of our employees. We are seeking an in-house corporate Attorney. Position will be based in Louisville, KY but the position is eligible for a significant amount of work-from-home flexibility.
This unique and flexible role will serve as in-house counsel and will help handle and manage any complex legal matters, contracts and projects. You will ensure the legality of all commercial transactions and advise ORR on all legal rights and duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • All team members must embody the company mission to provide protection for people, property, and the environment in all aspects of their job.
  • Consult and handle all corporate legal processes (e.g. intellectual property, mergers & acquisitions, financial/securities offerings, compliance issues, transactions, agreements, lawsuits, patents)
  • Develop company policy and position on legal issues
  • Research, anticipate and guard company against legal risks
  • Guide managers and ensure compliance with rules and regulations
  • Structure, draft and review reports and other legal documents
  • Represent company in legal proceedings (administrative boards, court trials etc.)
  • Draft and administer all contracts
  • Negotiate deals and attend company meetings, including board meeting duties
  • Help with managing supplemental relationship with our outside counsel
  • Other duties as assigned. Job duties and responsibilities can change at any time with or without notice.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years of previous proven comparable law firm or in-house counsel experience
  • Proven background in corporate law (contract law, tax law, accounting, securities law, bankruptcy, intellectual property rights, licensing, etc.)
  • Current license to practice law
  • Bachelor's degree and JD

  • Excellent negotiation and communications skills
  • Administrative and managerial skills
  • Analytical ability and strong attention to detail
  • Computer skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Working in either home office or corporate office environment. Remote flexible work-from-home opportunities available with this role;
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds, and occasional travel.
