Job Summary:

Maintains the general ledger, reviews financial statements, researches accounts, statistics, and analyzes financial records.

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Prepares and inputs journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
* Accounts for all transactions of the business, and confirms that the company's accounting process is shown in the accuracy of the ledger.
* Analyzes and reconciles general ledger and subsidiary accounts monthly and maintains appropriate supporting documentation of assigned balance sheet accounts.
* Reviews financial statements for proper accounting treatment of revenue and expense items.
* Generates ad-hoc reports and assists management with interpretation and analysis of such reports.
* Engages with facility and home office leadership regarding monthly financial results.
* Partners and consults with facility and home office personnel on accounting-related issues.
* Provides training on accounting and related systems to Company personnel as needed.
* Assists in other areas of the Accounting Department, including payroll and internal auditing.
* Prepares audit schedules and other reports for external auditors.
* Periodic travel including overnight stay as necessary.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor Degree

Experience: 1-3 years

Licenses and Certifications:

None required

Physical Requirements:

Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to maintain verbal and written communication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all business associates outside of the health campus.
