Job Description:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Reviewing prescriptions and update of the BD Pyxis system to allow for safe storage and access and documentation.
  • Processing data updates electronically and ensuring all information is complete and accurate.
  • Selecting and updating new or existing medicine as required.
  • Selecting and updating new or existing staff updates as required.
  • Production and audits of reports from the utilization of the BD Pyxis system. Maintains accurate and timely documentation.

EDUCATION

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Extra skills in nursing experience or pharmacy technician licensure are desired.

EXPERIENCE

  • Five (5) years clinical practice experience; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Pharmacy services, equipment, regulatory standards, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated competence in a range of pharmacy skills.
  • Experience in behavioral health and substance abuse treatment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to manage a large volume of pharmacy services across multiple programs.
  • Driving license is required for driving between Pyxis facilities

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to access overhead shelves or floor level shelves, use a step stool to access overhead shelves if required.
  • Ability to lift 5-7 pounds into and out of a shelving unit.
