Job Description

Danfoss in Louisville, Kentucky has an opening for a Receiving Quality Inspector. The hours for this position are Monday to Friday 6:30 am - 3:00 pm.

Job Responsibilities

  • Inspects incoming material according to Incoming inspection plan
  • Using various mechanical and electronic measuring tools measures incoming material's critical characteristics.
  • Record essential data for material traceability and complete receiving reports.
  • Manages material flow through the incoming inspection area so that non-conforming material is clearly identified, and material moves quickly in and out of the site.
  • Ensure quality and quantity of warehouse picks.
  • Work closely with inventory lead to ensure quality of received goods.
  • Understands and performs Standard Inspection Plans.
  • Escalating issues and quality trends to department leadership
  • Trains personnel as needed.
  • May perform other Quality duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to use equipment and tools typically used in the inspection process such as calipers, tape measures, calipers, etc.
  • Basic PC skills are needed
  • Ability to work under tight time deadlines with frequently changing priorities
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations (Add, Subtract, multiply & divide)
  • Ability to use standard and unique problem-solving techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Physical Demands:

  • Individuals may be required to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods
  • Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. is occasionally required
  • The use of computers, cameras, and other electronic devices is required
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the use of computer monitors and written and printed materials daily
