Summary

The IT Technician is responsible for maintaining computer systems and other technologies within Stifel. Their duties include working with other IT Technicians to install hardware troubleshoot computer issues, respond to IT questions from other associates. This Technician will be responsible for overseeing support functions for all Mobile Endpoint devices within the ecosystem.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work directly with end users and the IT service desk to provide tier 2 support for Android and Apple operating systems and troubleshooting mobile devices.
  • Install and resolve technical issues with user PCs, laptops, tablets, printers, scanners, and mobile devices; maintains working components through repair or replacement
  • Assisting customers and staff with hardware and software challenges
  • Maintain records of tickets and daily data communication transactions, and escalates issues to appropriate support member/team when necessary
  • Provides set up equipment for employee use, installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software
  • Some travel by car and/or air in conjunction with local, regional and/or national travel, up to 5%.
  • Providing support to Department Approvers of mobile devices.
  • Maintaining Mobile Text Message Archiving for both corporate owned and personal devices.
  • Understanding of Mobile Device Management platforms and related technology.

Qualifications

  • Strong Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to listen and understand basic system issues and work towards a solution
  • Ability to effectively communicate provide white glove service with all levels of associates
  • Ability to understand key objectives and prioritize tasks
  • Knowledge of Telecom Expense Management systems and reporting preferred.
  • Knowledge of mobile carriers and networks preferred.
  • Must be available to work outside of normal business hours as needed.

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • ~1+ year of technical experience in an IT Hardware/Software support function

Systems & Technology

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Proficient in Windows and Mac
