American Commercial Barge Line is seeking a skilled Senior Business Analyst to lead ongoing reviews of business processes looking for areas of improvement to develop and implement solutions. This role will serve as a critical role in optimizing organizational efficiencies and use data analytics to draw conclusions and produce forecasts to improve and explain business performance to Senior Leaders.

What you will be doing... Your IMPACT

  • Lead ongoing reviews of business processes looking for areas of improvement to develop and implement solutions.
  • Create reports, analysis, dashboards, and data visualizations for board presentations and company decision making tools within Power BI.
  • Coordinate KPI development working with leaders on developing and deploying recommended improvements.
  • Evaluate data for accuracy and consistency and build effective data visualizations.
  • Communicate with leaders on what they look at to evaluate their performance and assist in developing improvement plans.
  • Facilitate the Continuous Improvement (CI) program for the logistics department and play a critical role in implementing CI process enhancements.
  • Develop and drive innovative solutions for operational and strategic changes.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for...

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Business, Economics, or Data Analytics.
  • 5+ years of analytic work experience preferred, but not required.
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Office software, specifically Excel and PowerPoint as well as Power PI experience
  • Possesses organizational skills and is results driven
  • Must be dependable in attendance and meet deadlines as established
  • Innovative problem solver
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Critical thinking process orientated
  • Effective communicator with Senior Leaders
  • Must be able to secure data and ensure confidential access to key stakeholders
