Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician Lead to be based in . This person will report to the Maintenance manager. The primary focus will provide support and lead the Maintenance Department to keep production and quality standards by ensuring the continuous operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. Responsible for ensuring that a section of the facilities, layout, and machinery used to produce new and existing materials and goods run to their maximum efficiency and output.

What you'll do

  • Support and lead the team with clear communication, teamwork between departments, and providing training. Perform work with minimal supervision.
  • Must follow Atkore safety rules and wear proper PPE (safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toe shoes, gloves); including but not limited to Energy Isolation, Hand Safety, Hot Work Permits, Fall Protection, Confined Spaces, Personal Protective Equipment, Electrical Safety Work Practices, Powered Industrial Trucks, Hazard Communication, Machine Guarding, and other safety policy/procedures such as LOTO.
  • Performs installation, modification, calibration, and repair of electronic and electrical instrumentation, equipment, and control systems.
  • Inspects, repairs, and performs electric and mechanical overhauls on all equipment such as VFDs, open and closed feedback servo loops, servo motors, pneumatic and hydraulic components, motor control center devices, conveyor systems, and packaging and processing equipment.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs motor control centers, electro-mechanical drives, and sub-electrical panels using volt-ohm-amp meters, oscilloscopes, and mergers.
  • Performs machine shop duties such as grinding, drilling, light metal fabrication, welding, and machining. Assist in moving plant equipment
  • Interprets and ensures compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and calculates line leads to determine HP, watt, current, voltages, wire, conduit, fuse, and equipment sizes and capacities.
  • Install, maintain, and/or repair low voltage such as the paging system, fire alarms, and warning horns
  • Emergency call-in work is required on weekends.
  • Keep up-to-date critical inventory of spare parts

What you'll bring:

  • 10 + years of experience doing electrical/mechanical maintenance in an industrial/ manufacturing environment
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience and knowledge of Lean Daily Management principles preferred
  • Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment
  • Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
  • Strong mechanical aptitude

  • Complete any required training
  • Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.
